Il fait directement suite à Captain Tsubasa - Road to 2002 et nous propose de suivre la préparation de l'équipe japonaise des moins de 22 ans pour les Jeux Olympiques. Entraînée par Kôzô Kira, l'équipe devra cependant se passer des services de Tsubasa, de Hyûga, d'Aoi et d'Akai, chacun jouant dans son club respectif dont l'histoire couvrira quelques passages comme ceux de Tsubasa, capitaine et meneur de jeu du Barça, qui remplace Rivaul blessé.

Histoire 02 - Notre moment - Takami Eri rompt avec son petit ami, mais celui ci ne veut pas la laisser tranquille. Elle décide alors d'utiliser son ami d'enfance, Shirô pour tenir son ex éloigné. Mais lorsque que Shirô lui dit qu'il l'aime, Eri ne sait pas quoi faire.

Histoire 03 - Une lune étincelante - Narumi doit déménager à Noël mais avant, elle aimerait offrir l'écharpe qu'elle a tricoté au garçon qu'elle aime. Mais le meilleur ami de ce dernier, Kanzaki, que Narumi ne supporte pas, a détruit son écharpe par erreur.

Histoire 04 - No° 1 Girl - Saiko qui est mannequin se voit proposer une carrière à Tokyo qui courrait compromettre sa relation avec Hajime son petit ami.
